Fiction Spotlight of the Week: Favourite Fictional Superpower
This is a tough one, guys. I love science fiction novels and graphic novels and have been a fan of the X-Men since I was a little teeny child. But my favourite superpower that's actually pretty easy: Extreme Luck.
Of course, there are some really awesome powers like "Super Learning" and "Ability to Talk to Animals" or even "Power Mimicry" which would mean you could do all those and more, but all of them have a flaw. Yes, I can learn super quickly but would I be able to forget things? And yes, I can talk to cute bunnies, but I would also be able to talk to spiders and that would creep me out. And power mimicry is great if you are around a lot of super awesome people with super awesome powers but what if you aren't and need to save the day on your own? Kinda screwed.
For me it comes down to "Extreme Luck": being able to increase the probability of something happen in your favour. For example, while it isn't likely I find $20 on the sidewalk right now, I could change the probability of that to greater increase my chances and then take a nice stroll. Of course, in the wrong hands this could cause problems, but that is true for every super power.
Honestly, I would gladly have any super power any day of the week, but if I could ask the super power Gods for a specific one, that would be my choice.
What super power would you most like to have?? Sound off in the comments! Lots of love and happy reading! xx
