Subscription Box #Review: Nerdy Post

27 April 2 Comments
I love surprises and subscription boxes so I decided to buy a few different ones and then review them for you guys because why not! So you will get to see a few different subscription box reviews over the next few weeks because they all arrived!

Just so everyone knows, I live in Canada, so the prices and such that I am going to talk about are in Canadian Dollars and shipping times are international from the US to Canada as well.

Nerdy Post/Nerdy Tees

Where To Buy?

CrateJoy

How Often Does It Come?

Every Month and each month has a new theme. I bought just the Nerdy Post and the theme for the month was "Disney."

Price?

Each Nerdy Post Crate: $13.95USD/month plus shipping
Shipping to Canada is $9.00USD; Shipping to the US is $6.00USD, so it wasn't worth it for me to ship it to the US and then pick it up as it would cost me more money.

Each Nerdy Tees Crate: $15.95USD/month plus shipping
Shipping to Canada is $9.00USD; Shipping to the US is $6.00 USD

Shipping Time?

It ships on the 15th of the month, and I believe mine arrived to my Canadian address within 10 days.

Ordering Process?

Because Nerdy Post is connected to CrateJoy, the ordering process is really easy. Especially if you use CrateJoy often, then it saves all your information. That means that it is super easy to purchase, cancel, skip a month, etc.

Subscription Box Review: J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World of Harry Potter by LootCrate

24 April 3 Comments
I love Harry Potter. I have a Harry Potter tattoo and so much Harry Potter merchandise that my room is practically the Ravenclaw Tower. So when LootCrate announced their specific Harry Potter themed bimonthly subscription box, I hit subscribe so fast I broke a nail (no seriously). I have already reviewed the FIRST BOX which you can view by clicking here and the SECOND BOX, but I decided I would review every single one that I get so you can see what is inside and decide if you want to subscribe to it as well. This will spoil the contents of the box, so if you are getting this box, don't scroll any further! But if you are just curious, keep scrolling.

Just so everyone knows, I live in Canada, so the prices and such that I am going to talk about are in Canadian Dollars and shipping times are international from the US to Canada as well.

How Often Does It Come?

Every Two Months

I do wish it was more frequent but I feel like I do not need a monthly box of Harry Potter things. That would be Too Much. My mom would kick me out.

Price?

Each Crate: $66.95
Three Crates Over Six Months: $196.83
Six Crates Over A Year: $385.63

I subscribed for the whole year, which dropped the price per crate by about $3. Not a huge savings but I knew I wanted to get all of them so it did not matter to me about the cost per crate. However, if you are cost saving or budgeting, this might not be the box for you. It is almost $20 a crate more than the regular LootCrate and you get the LootCrate every month. The trade off is this is ALL Harry Potter things instead of a medley of fandoms.

Shipping Time?

They say usually about 10-20 days for international boxes once they ship them out. They ship on the 15th of the month that you get the box, so you should have it by the end of the month provided your post office is doing it's thing properly.

This box was delayed and they sent it via UPS which got it to me VERY quickly. I was notified it was shipping to me AFTER I had received it.

Ordering Process?

The really cool thing about this crate is that when you order, it asks you not only your shirt size, which has been changed to unisex and up to 3XL, but also asks you your Hogwarts house. THIS BOX FINALLY HAD SPECIFIC HOUSE THINGS AND IT WAS MAGNIFICENT. For a Ravenclaw, that was really fantastic for me and I'm sure Hufflepuffs will agree as well.

#Discussion: Where I've Been & Where I'm Going

20 April 1 Comments
Howdy friends, it's been a while. I did post a couple reviews at the beginning of the month, but before that radio silence for about six weeks. I'm sure some of you saw my string of tweets saying I needed to take a hiatus because of school since it was so hectic this semester and I was doing too much and feeling super stressed, but if you didn't, that's what happened.

I needed a break from all the commitments I had going and thought that my blog should probably be the one to go since 1. I don't get paid for this and 2. I pay to go to school. I'm happy to say that now I am officially done the "school" portion of school and will be spending the next six months interning so I will have relatively more time to blog, but I want to keep a pretty healthy balance. However, we'll get to that.

Think of this as a mini life update so that you guys know what's going on, why I haven't been active, and why I'll probably never be as active as I was before. So let's get to it!

Gauri, the princess of Bharata, has been taken as a prisoner of war by her kingdom’s enemies. Faced with a future of exile and scorn, Gauri has nothing left to lose. Disclaimer: I was sent a copy of this book from the publisher and decided to read and review it. This in no way affects my opinion of the novel

Where reading THE STAR-TOUCHED QUEEN was like reading liquid gold, A CROWN OF WISHES transformed the reader into a galaxy so they could live among the stars and sparkle. I will forever read anything that Chokshi writes as her writing feels like it wraps you up and never lets you go. The characters, setting, and plot were so rich and wonderful that I felt as though I was living in the story. I only put this book down when I had to and it is one you will easily get caught up in.

Blog Tour: BUT THEN I CAME BACK by Estelle Laure // #Review + #Interview

04 April 0 Comments
Hello and welcome to my blog tour post for

BUT THEN I CAME BACK by Estelle Laure!

Today I have a review of the book plus an answer to one of my burning questions that I had for Estelle, so I hope you enjoy that! But first, let's learn more about the book.

BUT THEN I CAME BACK

Author: Estelle Laure
Series: N/A
Source: ARC via Raincoast
Publisher: HMH Books For Young Readers
Publication Date: April 4, 2017
Rating: 4/5 stars

Summary:
Gayle Forman meets Francesca Lia Block in this dazzling story about two coma girls and the boy who connects their lives. From the author of This Raging Light, a debut that New York Times bestselling author Morgan Matson calls “remarkable.”

“Something does exist. I saw. It’s a place. Like this but different.”
“Okay, so let’s say we do reach her, that something like that is even possible. Then what?”
“Then we ask her to come back.”

Eden: As far as coma patients go, Eden’s lucky. She woke up. But still, she can’t shake the feeling that she might have dragged something back from the near-afterlife.

Joe: Joe visits the hospital every day, hoping that Jaz, his lifelong friend, will wake up. More than anything, he wants to hear her voice again. But he’s not sure anyone can reach her.

Eden & Joe: Even though she knows it sounds crazy, Eden tells Joe that they might be able to talk to Jaz. Opening themselves up to the great unknown—and each other—Eden and Joe experience life: mysterious and scary, beautiful and bright.

Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book and decided to review it. This in no ways affects my opinion.

This is good, I want to say. this is life. It's not selfish to live. Digby and Lucille went on, and Mom and Dad did too. And they had the right to. Time served on planet earth is yours to use as you see fit. It keeps spinning, and just because someone's life ends or pauses doesn't mean we have to do the same.
BUT THEN I CAME BACK was on my radar immediately when I saw Estelle Laure had another book coming out because I absolutely loved THIS RAGING LIGHT. And when I found out this was a companion/sequel but from Eden's perspective I knew I had to have it immediately.
